The FiberBuilt 11-ft. Wind-Resistant Market Umbrella can stay up even when bad weather blows in. This umbrella features flexible fiberglass ribs to absorb wind gusts without breaking, making it the ideal choice for virtually any area. The ribs are one-half-inches in diameter and the umbrella features a heavy-duty pulley-and-pin lift, molded nylon joints, and end tips. The two-piece aluminum pole measures 1.5 inches in diameter and features a powder-coated finish, which is available in two color options.
This umbrella has break-resistant fiberglass ribs that allow the shade to flex in stronger wind conditions. It has been tested in winds over 50 mph. Fiberglass ribs are four times stronger and up to 30 percent lighter than traditional wood or metal ribs.
Order this large umbrella for stylish and durable coverage of oval or rectangular tables.

Cleaning and Caring for Sunbrella
Regular maintenance is the best way to keep your Sunbrella fabrics looking good and delay deep, vigorous cleaning. Brush off dirt before it becomes embedded in the fabrics, and wipe up spills as soon as they occur. For light cleaning, use a mild soap and water solution and a sponge, allowing your cleaning solution to soak into the fabric. Rinse thoroughly to remove all soap residue and allow fabric to air dry. Very good product!!! Our back patio gets some major gusts in North Texas and we had a different brand - wood "offset" umbrella that just couldn't bend with the wind, as you would expect, and we ended trashing it after 1 year. The fiberglass construction is MANDATORY and has already proven itself priceless. We had some major wind the other day and the umbrella turned inside out with zero damage to anything - as I purchased it for. I just pushed it back down and it was back to normal shape. I can see that the quality of this piece will definitely hold up and I recommend the fiberbuilt line 100%. Make sure you have a heavy base - I recommend 75lb - IT WILL TAKE FLIGHT if you don't have it secure, but then again its 11' so you need to secure accordingly. It's fairly lightweight and the material is high quality. I don't mind paying a little more for quality and this item does deliver.

Need step ladder to open and close!!
I am 5'3" tall, which is quite average for a woman, and I need a step ladder to open and close the umbrella.

We needed a wind worthy umbrella and this has worked very well. It is used in a Shademobile rolling umbrella base with the maximum weight configuration. This is a great combination!

This is the best umbrellas we've ever had; certainly wind resistant, high quality canopy and good looking. A bit tough to raise but OK given the other great attributes.
Buying a second one for our patio.

We mainly use the umbrella for shade and protection of our wooden table set. We haven't experienced any high winds or rain yet but I'm hopefully the umbrella will live up to it's reputation
