Java Stain finish will weather over time and wood will take on a silvery gray patina (common to all outdoor wood). This is not considered a defect. The wood can be oiled twice a year to maintain finish -- available at local hardware stores.

Wipe clean with soft cloth and water solution made from mild dish soap. Natural and spice stains on wood will need to be oiled twice a year, otherwise it will weather to a silvery gray over a period of time. We recommend storing the furniture in a shed or garage in harsher climates.
