About Acacia
The high oil content in acacia makes it naturally resistant to rotting, bug infestation, and weathering. If left untreated, acacia weathers naturally to a beautiful gray color. During the first stages of the weathering process, surface roughness or cracking may occur. However, this will subside and become smooth over time. Acacia's weather- and- rot-resistant qualities make it a great choice for outdoor furniture.
Oxford Garden's acacia furniture has been pre-treated with a penetrating oil stain that enhances the grain. The oil stain provides additional protection against the elements, and contains UV inhibitors and fungicide.
About Oxford Garden
Having started off in 1997, producing shorea wood furniture, Oxford Garden now offers an extensive line of shorea, teak, and acacia hardwood outdoor furniture at an affordable price. Located in Louisville, Ky., and family operated, Oxford Garden's goal is to provide quality outdoor furniture that will stand the test of time. Every piece of furniture is commercial grade, handcrafted of shorea hard wood, and uses mortise-and-tenon joinery for superior strength. Oxford Garden is known for creating outdoor furniture with a classic, timeless style.
Oxford Garden - the Green choice: Oxford Garden is committed to preserving the environment. Regulations on harvesting shorea, teak, and acacia wood promote the sustainability of the species and encourage responsible practices for the sake of conservation. Shorea, teak, and acacia trees are not allowed to be harvested until they reach a certain size, which allows younger trees to grow and reproduce. When you purchase furniture made of shorea wood, you're not only getting a piece of great quality and durability, but you're also contributing to the wise use of natural wood resources.

Care and Maintenance
A seasonal cleaning of acacia furniture is recommended. Rinse the furniture and use a sponge or soft bristle brush to scrub it with a mild cleaning solution. Lastly, rinse the piece with fresh water. To maintain the original finish, reapplication of a high-quality oil is recommended. Paint or any products with Polyurethane are not recommended, as application of these products will void the warranty.
