Linseed Oiled Finish
Our Brazilian Cherry is pre-applied with an organic linseed oil coating. The wood will turn a deep red color after initial use in the sun. An application of a high-quality, boiled linseed oil (available at your local hardware store) every 1-3 months will help extend the life of the red color. Over time, natural Brazilian Cherry will turn a handsome silver gray. If this color is preferred, no maintenance is required. If desired, once your furniture has turned gray, there are several methods to bring back the original deep red color.
1. Purchase a teak cleaner and follow the manufacturer's instructions.
2. Sand thoroughly with fine grit sand paper. Once the red color has been restored, using either method, you may apply linseed or teak oil to increase the life of the restored wood color. Do not use any "water sealer" type products on your natural Brazilian Cherry furniture.
To clean, wash your furniture with a mild solution of dishwashing soap, bleach and warm water. Apply the mixture with a soft bristled brush and rinse when finished.
Painted Finish
Clean with soap and water as needed. A mild solution of bleach and water can be used if any mildewing occurs. As the finish weathers, your Outdoor Lifestyle painted collection can be touched up or refinished with any exterior grade paint.
