Crafted from responsibly harvested FSC certified wood, the set sports a deep dark Java Brown stain that will add charm and character to your outdoor setting. While the chairs feature generous seats and slatted backs for maximum support, the water- and fade-resistant cushions take your comfort to a whole new level. The dining table comes with a butterfly leaf and extends from 60 inches long to a family-sized 90 inches. Choose from six or eight chairs to match your entertaining needs. Some assembly required. Umbrella can be purchased at check-out. Take a look at our video to see how easy extending the table is! We recommend a little paraffin wax if the leaf becomes slow to slide out. Nine foot Frankford Umbrella may be purchased separately (product number SFS009).
FSC Wood - Forestry Stewardship Council (FSC) certified forests are managed to ensure long-term timber supplies while protecting the environment and lives of forest-dependent peoples.
Outdoor fabric is water- and fade-resistant. While the fabric is highly water repellent, if left out in the rain or under sprinklers it will absorb moisture where there is stitching. We recommend storing or covering when not being used. If the cushions do get wet, stand them on their side and allow the water to drain out of the stitched seam. To clean, use mild dish soap and water, do not use harsh chemicals.
Java Stain finish will weather over time and wood will take on a silvery gray patina (common to all outdoor wood). This is not considered a defect. The wood can be oiled twice a year to maintain finish -- available at local hardware stores.

Wipe clean with soft cloth and water solution made from mild dish soap. Natural Stain wood will need to be oiled twice a year to maintain brown finish, otherwise it will weather to a silvery gray over a period of time. We recommend storing the furniture in a shed or garage in harsher climates. If table leaf becomes slow to slide in and out, just use a little paraffin wax.

We did quite a bit of research before making this purchase - we were happy to find a set that had a number of different pieces - lounge and dining sets. The Hayneedle Rep helped to finalize the purchase (needed clarification on the dining table hole size for the umbrella) she completed our purchase on a Thursday night and everything arrived on Wednesday the next week - 2 days earlier than posted.
Easy to assemble - I liked that lounge chairs and the dining chairs assembled the same way - tables went together easy. It took 3 of us 2.5 hours to assemble 14 pieces, deliver to the back yard deck, and clean up. Yes, an allen ratchet does help, but we would recommend starting the long screws with the allen wrench to guide it in straight.
The furniture is sturdy and comfortable - the cushions were more brick red than berry which worked out better because our deck rails are brick red. We are very happy with our purchase!

There's a reason they're set away from the table. THEY DON'T FIT UNDER IT in either the normal or extended position. And the sad thing is that had the designers provided another inch or two of clearance (easily done), two chairs would have fit under the table on both the long sides. The table is attractive, seemingly fairly well constructed for the price, but as a result of the chairs not fitting, the whole ensemble (I have six chairs) takes up entirely too much room. If it had not been such a huge hassle to put together, I would be sending it back.

We love our new patio set. It looks great and is comfortable. The only con is the armchairs on the sides don't fit all the way under the table for long term storage with a furniture cover.

We purchased this set a year ago, and currently most of the stain is peeling off (even though it was stored indoors all winter). The chairs are uncomfortable, and are difficult to side out from the table.

After searching for outdoor furniture for months, I finally found a set that looks beautiful!! We have a craftsman style home and this compliments is very well! My boyfriend and his 12 year old daughter and 8 year old son help me put this together. So easy! You will not be disappointed, especially for the price!!! Oh! and the cushions look much much nicer in person!

Overall this furniture is not what you would expect for the price. The chairs are chipped the table with deep stratchest, etc. I oiled the furniture immediately to prevent sun damage but it's taking a long time to do as it needs to dry for several days, overall it's not not the quality I was hoping/expecting. Too much now to ship back as I threw out all the boxes.

Q1: What is the size of table?
A: The size of the table is 40L x 60W x 28.5H inches.
Q2: The video showing the extension functionality is not working. In some tables the extension portion is kept within the table even when the table is not being extended. Is this the case?
A: Yes, when you want to use the extension just pull the two ends apart and the extension is folded underneath, then you pull out the extension and pull down to get the extension to flatten into the table.
Q3: How heavy are the table and chairs?
A: Each chairs weighs 26lbs, and the table weighs 95lbs.
Q4: Can I get backless benches instead of all chairs?
A: Currently we do not have backless benches available for this set.
Q5: What is the size of this table with the extension? Do you have any more in black?
A: The size with the ext is 90L x 60W x 28.5H inches and we no longer have this set available in black.
