Hand-laid mosaic tiles combine with hand-forged wrought iron to make a look that's decidedly eye-catching. And because these tiles are hand-set, each Barcelona table is truly one of a kind! Next, the top is finished and sealed with an industrial-grade sealant, called Fluorocarbon, for superior protection. Wear and tear of elements over time may lead to blistering of the silicone top seal and natural aging of the tile materials, giving the table an aged look.
Built to last, the hand-forged wrought iron table base and chair frames are dipped in a zinc-phosphate bath and then E-coated to help make a weather-resistant coating to delay the onset of rust. All wrought iron pieces are quality-checked for strength and durability, while iron welds are ground for aesthetic appeal. Finally, a powder-coated dark bronze finish is applied and baked onto the iron for stronger color and protection.
Not to be outdone in the comfort department, the chairs are generously proportioned and feature supportive, diamond-motif backs, gracefully curved legs, and scrolled armrests. Beige seat cushions with chair ties will envelop you in luxurious comfort, inviting you to linger at the table long after the dishes have been cleared. The seat cushions are foam-wrapped in Dacron. Inner cover is a white polyester bag and outer fabric cover is a polyester-cotton mix which is water- and UV-resistant. Recommended Care for Mosaic Tabletops:
Small cracks in grout, small holes in stone surfaces, and color oxidation are common reactions to nature and under normal use have no impact on product quality. Clean mosaic surfaces with mild soap and water and dry thoroughly. If the surface is stained with wine or coffee, wipe away immediately with mild soap and water. Do not use detergents or chemicals to clean surface as this will damage the tabletops' protective coating. We do recommend storing the table top in a shed or garage in areas that freeze in winter to prolong the life of the materials used. The table top can be removed from the base and placed on its side for storage. Cover with blankets or towels and keep moisture away from the top during storage.
Recommended Care for Wrought Iron Frames:
Wipe clean with mild dish soap and water, dry with a soft cloth, do not use harsh chemicals. It is advisable to treat the frames with liquid wax for maximum protection against UV light. If a nick or chip does happen to occur, use a Rustoleum type spray paint from your local hardware store to touch up. To prolong the life of the frame finish, cover or store out of the elements when not in use, especially in harsh winter climates.
Recommended Care for Cushions: Spot clean with mild dish soap and water, can also be hosed off and air dried. As general maintenance, avoid allowing dirt to build up on cushions. To keep cushions looking their best, store or cover them when not in use for an extended period of time.
