Because rattan is a natural material that's best suited to indoor use, Selamat has used a synthetic resin rattan that is ideal for outdoor use, durable and weather resistant. Available in your choice of color, espresso or nutmeg, each chair is hand woven with this attractive resin rattan to insure the highest quality product. In fact, it takes a weaver about one week to make just one chair. The chair's cushions are of an equally high quality, using QuickDryFoam and Sunbrella fabric, which will keep this chair looking new in any weather.

Selamat Designs was founded in 1988 to make an interesting use of the vast quantities of wood cut-offs left over after production of large pieces of furniture in Indonesia.
