Sectional seating for 5, 7 or 9 people, Coffee table, Ottoman, End table
With the Cabos Collection Wood Sectional Set - Seats up to 9 gracing your patio, youre sure to get some excellent conversations going! What you'll love about sectional seating is that you can configure it any way you like. Change it up as your guest count changes to keep it as open or as intimate as you like. The separate pieces are also easier to move than larger, bulkier, heavier pieces. Crafted from responsibly harvested FSC certified wood, the set, which offers seating for five, seven, or nine people, along with an ottoman, coffee table, and end table, sports a deep dark Java Brown stain that will add charm and character to your outdoor setting. While the chairs are generously proportioned for comfort, the water- and fade-resistant seat and back cushions envelope you in sheer luxury. The ottoman is perfect for kicking up your heels, while the coffee and end tables are perfect for setting down your snack or drink. Some assembly required.

Outdoor fabric is water- and fade-resistant. While the fabric is highly water repellent, if left out in the rain or under sprinklers it will absorb moisture where there is stitching. We recommend storing or covering when not being used. If the cushions do get wet, stand them on their side and allow the water to drain out of the stitched seam. To clean, use mild dish soap and water, do not use harsh chemicals.
Java Stain finish will weather over time and wood will take on a silvery gray patina (common to all outdoor wood). This is not considered a defect. The wood can be oiled twice a year to maintain finish -- available at local hardware stores.

Very fast shipping! I ordered the 7 seat version late on Sunday night and it was delivered early Wednesday morning. Everything arrived undamaged and photos on-line match very closely. I assembled the entire set alone, it took a while but was it intuitive and the instructions were easy to follow. I, like others, had several screws strip out but a few wooden match sticks solved the problem. I had looked extensively locally and couldn't find what I was looking for, Hayneedle solved my problem. The set is well construction and quality of materials seem to be very solid. I can't vouch for the durability since I've only had the set for a few days. Overall it is a very attractive addition to my paver patio with gazebo and gas fire pit, which I also purchased fro Hayneedle. The only addition I would recommend is plastic skid protectors on the furniture feet and something to secure the cushions to the frames.

Our family ordered individual pieces from this set to make a sectional that would work for our deck. We originally wanted a teak sectional but could not afford the price tag and opted for this eucalyptus wood instead. The price quoted here seemed reasonable at the time of ordering as it compared favorably against other sets that we found online. The price offering from patiofurnitureusa.com included the freight charges and this helped make comparisons easy across different product lines on the site.
We received delivery of the pieces in individual boxes all at once; it was nice to get the whole set in a single delivery. The packaging was average and consisted of low-rated cardboard and styrofoam-everything held together well enough during shipping and there was no damage to the wood products inside. Unpacking the pieces was straightforward and the instructions included with each piece clearly identified what was supposed to be in each box.
The finish work of the wood was not great. Frankly we had higher expectations and were disappointed with the quality of the woodwork. Most of the pieces of wood were dried out and had slivers of wood flaking off the edges of the wood slats. Some individual elements were smooth on at least one side but really rough on other sides and this trend was consistent throughout the whole set with no apparent rhyme or reason that we could tell. We opted to apply Watco-branded Teak Oil finish in two separate coats to the whole set prior to assembly to help with the dryness problem. During application of the oil our application sponge picked up all sorts of splinters from the wood.
One problem that we encountered with our set was with the single-arm chair for the ends of the sectional. These go together just like the other sectional pieces, but at the end you bolt-on the arm to either side of the chair as desired. One of our arm chairs did not come with holes drilled for mounting the arm piece. Fortunately we were able to swap the one piece that we needed from one of the middle units that didn't need an arm as they shared the same basic parts. If this were not the case then we would have needed to drill holes in the arm chair in order to get it together.
Another problem that we encountered was that some of the legs were twisted and made assembly challenging because the wood elements did not piece together easily. After assembling the entire set it became clearly advisable to loosely assemble each element with the bolts until the unit is completely assembled, and then toque them tight in stages. This helps whenever there are alignment problems. WIthout doing this there would not have been possible to assemble at least one of our pieces because the wood was so badly warped/twisted. Again, the cause of this likely goes back to the poor finish quality of the wood.
We have enjoyed this set for 6 months and now that we are going into Winter we are retreating the wood and putting the cushions into storage until the Spring. I think it will be a good bet for us to oil the wood 2x per year to ensure that it gives us many years of service. Without the extra application of wood oil at the time of assembly I would bet that this set would self destruct inside of 1-2 seasons of use depending on the environmental exposure. The cushions have faded enough that they will probably be without any color after 2 seasons of use. We will have to replace the cushion slip covers sooner than we would expect.
Bottom line; this set is pretty sturdy, comfortable to sit on, and looks good when the wood is well treated. We were not happy with the quality of the wood finish nor the colorfastness of the cushions, but perhaps this is par for the course at this price point….? We have seen sets made of hard woods in the USA that are more desirable but we just couldn't afford them. This set is currently suiting our needs and we have come to accept the maintenance required to keep it serviceable. When we can afford it, we will likely order a matching dining table and chairs for the deck.

Comments about Cabos Collection Wood Sectional Set - Seats up to 9:
I absolutely love the set. Good quality wood and fabric. The cushions are nice and firm so we will get years of use out of them. Putting the set together was relatively easy, but time consuming. I ended up using my drill with a bit like the Allen wrenches provided so my hand was not destroyed in the process.
My only complaints, the wood was darker than what was pictured and the set came with two corner chairs. So the end seat has a high back on the side and not a low easy arm chair.

I love the look of the sectional on our patio. There is not a good picture of the khaki color I purchased online so I was a little worried but it is a nice color. The ottoman comes as a striped different color but works well with our table. The biggest complaint is that the set was on backorder for 4 months so we missed out on the larger portion of the summer. The corner seat was broken upon delivery but customer service was great with replacing it quickly. Cushions are a little on the cheaper side and do not come with attachments to keep them in place: somewhat of a problem with Kansas wind. Otherwise, I love the color of the wood. It took 2 people to assemble the 7 seating collection in a few hours.

Comments about Cabos Collection Wood Sectional Set - Seats up to 9:
I'm still assembling the various pieces we purchased but so far I'm pretty happy. It's fairly easy to put together although if you only use the Allen wrench (as opposed to a drill fitted with the right bit), you're going to have some raw fingers. There's a funny petroleum-like smell from the stain but I'm assuming that will fade over time. It would also be nice if there was a way to fasten the legs of the sectional together so it would function as one unit. However, the chairs are pretty sturdy and are unlikely to move around much with basic use.
