POLYWOOD® material is made of HDPE plastic resin that has been purified and UV protected. It is generally cared for and cleaned with soap and warm water.
For certain stains and additional cleaning power, a 1/3 bleach and 2/3 water solution can be used on the product without affecting the color.
Also, a popular method of cleaning is a high-pressure power wash. (Not to exceed 1,500 psi, which is the equivalent of a car wash.) The surface characteristics of the product may require the use of a soft bristle brush to get into the creases.
The hardware used in the assembly and construction of our furniture is an 18-8 commercial-grade stainless steel that has an additional Xylan protective and cosmetic coating. Although the quality of the hardware has a high level of corrosive resistance, the hardware can show some sign of corrosion in salt air environments.
A practical solution to these signs of corrosion would be to wash the product with soap and water. Use a soft bristle brush to scrub the corroding areas of the hardware. Also, use appliance touch-up paint in the appropriate color to protect the hardware. Appliance touch up-paint can be purchased at local hardware stores.

Our company is in Florida so the furniture is out year round. We get a lot of rain and sun. This product is very durable and easy to clean. Being plastic I am surprised how comfortable it is without using pillows.

I just received the 2 captain bar height chairs and the matching 24" round table in mahogony. I really love it! I have a small patio at my beach condo and wanted to be able to enjoy the view of the ocean. The size is perfect and it is very well constructed and looks beautiful! My boyfriend assembled the set for me. That may be the only negative is that it needs to be assembled. I decided not to get the cushions because it is comfortable even without them. Polywood seems to be recommended by the furniture stores at the shore due to not having to worry about it blowing away.

We ordered two of these chairs and a table three years ago and have used them on our ocean front deck. They do not blow over and barely move even with strong winds. We are adding two more this year. I also love the straight space saving design. Other chairs we looked at flared out at the bottom and used more deck space.

this prduct is great we needed a prduct that could withstand the weather changes and that can hold up in windy conditions as well. Most of all the price was right and it matches our area we have it in.
